Ofsted Inspection of Mapledown School
There has been no change to this school’s overall judgement of good as a result of this ungraded (section 8) inspection. However, the evidence gathered suggests that the inspection grade might be outstanding if a graded (section 5) inspection were carried out now.
Pupils are happy to attend this welcoming and friendly school. They feel safe and they like their lessons. The school expects all pupils to do their best and to work hard. At times, pupils need extra help and support to stay focused and achieve their best. Adults provide this support in a calm and nurturing way, allowing pupils time and space to be as independent as possible, and to concentrate on their work.
