Flamingo Chicks Ballet
On Tuesday October 10th Mapledown school students were extremely lucky to have participated in a performance created by the fantastic charity group Flamingo Chicks Ballet! Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
Students engaged with a wonderful Jungle themed sensory spectacle of tactile staging, magical moving props, textured fabrics and emotive smells. The thought provoking session enabled our students to learn about the beauty of our planet and the importance of looking after it. Students were engaged with the session, dancing and exercising in this fully immersive environment. The joyful faces of our students captured in photographs and fantastic feedback are testament to the positive impact the organisation has in the school and the significant benefits of our ongoing partnership.
The sessions were described by students as "completely magical" "beautiful amazing" and "fantastic". You can see from the photos a brilliant time was had by all!
