Local Pupils Celebrate 200 Years of Railway History in Brent with Time Capsule Burial

Pupils from Toucan class and a student from Woodpecker class participated in a special community event to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the railway in Brent. The celebration included a unique activity: the burial of a time capsule filled with students' artwork in a local park. This project highlights a meaningful link between local education and the area's historical milestones.

The celebration, a collaboration between local schools and the community, provided an enriching educational experience for the children involved. The students were selected to represent their classes in this historic event, learning about the significant impact the railway has had on their community over two centuries.

A key highlight of the day was the time capsule ceremony. The pupils contributed a collection of their artwork to be sealed within the capsule, capturing a snapshot of life and creativity in their school today. The burial of the time capsule in a public park ensures it will be a lasting testament to the community's history and the students' participation. The exact location is now a documented part of the park's records, waiting to be unearthed by future generations who can learn about this important anniversary and the students who helped commemorate it.
